Welcome to Hotel Bonampak

Hotel Bonampak stands as a modest yet appealing lodging option nestled in the heart of Amecameca de Juárez, Mexico. With a solid 3.6 rating, it offers travelers an economical stay just steps away from the bustling central square and local markets. Its prime location on Reforma 2 makes it a strategic base for visitors eager to explore the town’s vibrant culture, traditional markets, and scenic surroundings.

While the hotel is not without its imperfections—some guests report minor maintenance issues, such as occasional mold and worn linens—the daily housekeeping ensures a generally clean and comfortable environment. The rooms are compact and simple but fulfill the essential needs: warm showers, adequate cleanliness, and basic amenities. Wi-Fi is available primarily near the reception, though some rooms near the office area receive a satisfactory signal. Parking facilities add convenience for those traveling by car, though the hotel notably lacks luxury features like a pool or fitness center.

What truly elevates Hotel Bonampak is the welcoming and attentive service from its staff, often described as friendly and helpful. Many guests appreciate the approachable and genuine hospitality, enhancing the sense of community and comfort during their stay. The affordable rates make it an exceptional choice for budget-conscious travelers who prioritize location and friendliness over extravagance.

For those seeking a quiet retreat close to downtown and interested in immersing themselves in local life, especially during the lively Sunday markets brimming with fresh produce, traditional sweets, and artisan goods, Hotel Bonampak is a practical and heartfelt choice. Though it embraces simplicity, the hotel serves as a genuine gateway to the cultural richness of Amecameca, offering visitors a restful and authentic experience.

Very affordable hotel within walking distance of the central square. In sept 2017 I paid only 130 MXN for a 'sencilla' It's not extremely well maintained (some mold on the ceilings) but everdyday cleaning (bedsheets etc) is adequate. Free wifi at the reception desk area.

Excelente trato. Muy céntrico. Excelente precio. Sin televisión sin internet. Pero por el precio. Es justo. Regresare pronto

Very cheap option in the town. Close to the center market where there’s so much to see and eat. Rooms are clean and hot water works. WiFi was good in my room which was facing the office. Like other reviewers say, I could’ve used another blanket, and the sheet was torn. But the managers were very nice people

Because it's quiet, cheap, one block away from downtown. Sunday's there is a market like farmers market, food, fruits, veggies, clothes, traditional candy. Just name it. Also there is hotel San Carlos, only two hotels in this town and Bonampak
